The More London Free Festival

Taking place in London at the moment is the More London Free Festival. There are three parts to the festival – theatre, music and film – and as the name suggests, it’s free (so even if it’s an awful movie (which it won’t be) you won’t be wasting your money!). Coming up later in September is the film part – open air screenings will be held at the Scoop on the South Bank at 19.30 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for 3 weeks. They’re offering a whole range of different movies, from classic musicals to recent releases.

Here’s what’s on over the 3 weeks:

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel – September 12

Great Expectations – September 13

Midnight in Paris – September 14

Walkabout – September 19

Senna – September 20

Oliver! – September 21

A Street Car Named Desire – September 26

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy – September 27

West Side Story – September 28

The seats are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so it’s recommended to turn up early to guarantee you get a place! And bring a blanket, because it’s unlikely to be 30 degrees…
